For me it all started in October 2005, when I was impacted by the still reverberating changes in the high tech industry which I’d spent the last 27 years in. Since the .com crunch it’s been “quantity, not quality”, down sizing, doing more with less, less job satisfaction, reduced margins, contracting out, less focus on people and customer service. So when the change knocked on my door, I wasn’t sure what would be on the other side, or even which door to choose; back to school - then what?, stay in the same business - offers were on the table, but I really didn’t think so, or something completely different? Coincidentally, there was a franchise show running the week after I received my notice. Now I’d never been to one of these shows before, but I thought “I’ve got the time and nothing to loose, might as well check it out”. As I walked around the show and talked to the franchisors, one really stuck out heads and shoulders above the rest. Not only did the Curb-Ease Franchise address what I felt was lacking in my working life, but one could clearly see Garry and Kelly Tynan believed enthusiastically in the same value(s); supporting their franchisees to deliver a quality product and customer service excellence. Even though I felt very positive after this first meeting, I knew due diligence was needed to look at this opportunity in depth - financially, competitively and personally. The conclusion was a resounding, “CURB-EASE” have done their home work and have put together a winner. I subsequently purchased a Curb-Ease Franchise. My wife and I have been looking to start a business so we can have some control of our financial future. With two kids we found it very difficult to get by on one income in today's economy. Having the opportunity to meet some Curb-Ease customers I became interested in the Curb-Ease business as the company offers a quality product with high customer satisfaction. I was impressed with Curb-Ease from the start as they care about their customers which is the main ingredient to growing a business. Curb-Ease is looking to improve where ever possible with the addition of new features like lighting, integral strength additives or new colors and stamp patterns. We have found the support nothing short of excellent. Once we had a chance to look over what the Curb-Ease Franchise was all about this seemed like a natural fit and was just what we were looking for. Our findings were that home owners are working long hours and want to spend time enjoying their homes and not continually fixing or maintaining it. We found that Curb-Ease curbing saves the consumer time in maintaining their yard and outlast any other boarders (like landscape ties or porous blocks) and the Curb-Ease curbing continually looks great!
